Nucu and PehuTec: Better sleep for families through cooperation
Nucu is a Finnish wellness company focused on improving sleep for babies, young children and their families. Founded in 2016, Nucu aims to improve the quality of life for families by providing better sleep and more time together. At the heart of the company’s operations is the understanding that quality sleep in a child’s early years is crucial for development. Nucu strives to find safe and easy-to-use solutions for newborn babies and their parents, who often suffer from sleep deprivation.
PehuTec has been responsible for the mechanical design of the new generation Nucu Pad device. The collaboration with design and electronics design has been close and smooth. The mechanical design has focused on finding solutions and developing ideas together with Nucu. 3D printed parts have been utilized in the procurement of mechanical parts for the prototypes, and the design has taken into account usability, production aspects, and materials and solutions suitable for the use of the product.
